(6,699 posts)If you watch fox-nonsense at all, you will quickly see that the koch-bros puppet is back on the network on a regular basis - mostly on vannity's hate-hour. It's sad, but these disgusting hacks NEVER go away for long enough.

(6,286 posts)should have resigned in embarrassment, save for the folks who said "yeah, we stand by our call" and looked at her like she had six heads.

(423 posts)I was about to reply with, "She didn't really have much choice," but I'm glad I didn't because then I got to 6:09.
At the 6:09 mark, she says: "When we practiced this before in our rehearsals, we lost all audio in our ears right about here. That's happening again."
Why would they need to practice it? Was this whole embarrassing fiasco planned in advance?

(423 posts)Fox News (and every other conservative outlet and pundit) was positive Romney was going to win. They ignored Nate Silver's predictions, even after Silver proved himself in 2008, because they considered 2008 to be an outlier. (As an outlier, they claimed, 2008 could not legitimately be included in the 2012 predictions. Therefore, they claimed, Silver's 2012 predictions were wrong.)
My new theory is, the people at Fox were so sure Romney would win, and so sure the Democrats would contest key battle states like Ohio, that they planned to have a liberal pundit come on and do what Rove did.
They probably planned to have some Alan Colmes type come on and rant about how it's too early to call, and then the plan was to send a Fox hairdo over to the war room to confirm that Romney was, in fact, the winner, and that the Colmes type was a blathering idiot.
So they did a walk-though in advance. And then they had to use it anyway, when Rove started having a fit about the results.

(9,298 posts)What was so appealing to me were the split screens - Karl blathering away on one side and huge crowds smiling, cheering, waving flags on the other side. All this as more and more votes came in to seal the deal for Obama.
