Charts: February Jobs Report - Bikini Graph

Today, the Department of Labor announced that the economy added 227,000 jobs in February and the unemployment rate remained at 8.3 percent:

With 233,000 jobs added by private businesses, this marks the 24th consecutive month of private sector job growth:

And as Alan Krueger, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, points out, “after losing millions of good manufacturing jobs in the years before and during the recession, the economy has added 429,000 manufacturing jobs in the past two years. For the first time since the 1990s, the manufacturing sector is adding jobs.”

Will we? Probably not.

Democrats never seem willing to go for the knockout punch. We usually play "not to lose". I wish, for once, we would play to win. (We kind of did play to win in 2008, but we reverted to form in 2010.)
