. . . that one of these gets sucked into the engine of a commercial jet and causes a crash.

Imagine if they don the drone with a red suit, white beard and attach the reindeer!!!!!!!!!!

On a second note, did you notice the guy at the end wait until the drone had been gone for a few seconds?

No use being the 'first' casualty of this ill fated venture.

This is just a big publicity gimmick by Amazon.

1. They themselves admitted it 'won't be ready for a few years.'
2. It would only work IF
A. You lived within a couple of miles of an Amazon warehouse, and (and this is the biggie)
B. EVERY Amazon warehouse stocked EVERYTHING you'd ever want to buy from Amazon.

The whole business model of Amazon was that there WEREN'T central warehouses. It was just a big database that listed everyting that was available in various stores and warehouses all over the country.

So, I don't think this could ever be any more than a gimmick for Amazon.

But for FLYING PIZZA DELIVERY....THAT WOULD WORK!

You wouldn't need a vehicle, you could just Frisbee-launch it from the pizzeria.
