My Grandma born in 1920 told me that many times...she said Republicans always got into power by claiming to reduce govt and they always made govt spending worse. So the answer is under Democrats...same as it ever was!

I occasionally save stuff of his (as a former Econ student) because of his credibility--which ranks high in my book.

I'm looking now.
