Alexandra Pelosi Debuts New Video, Bill Maher Says It May ‘Make Liberals Go Insane’

New VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/alexandra-pelosi-debuts-new-video-on-real-time-maher-says-it-may-make-liberals-go-insane/

Alexandra Pelosi appeared on Real Time tonight with two purposes: to defend the video she filmed of voters in Mississippi that aired on the show last week, and to air a brand-new video that Bill Maher admitted would probably anger liberals in the same way the aforementioned video angered conservatives. For her new video, Pelosi spoke to African-American welfare recipients in New York. There was far less laughter during this piece than the Mississippi one (which Pelosi pointed out after it played), but there were still some revealing moments contained therein. One of the men lined up outside the welfare office said he was more interested in collecting than going across the street to try and find a job. Pelosi asked surprisingly tough questions, like “When was the last time you actually worked?” and “Why should my tax dollars be going to you?” <SNIP>

and equally unimpressed with the one of the stereotypical lazy black people.

And mostly I was unimpressed with Pelosi herself. Her explanation for doing the second film seemed to be that she was accused of bias when she did the first one so she had to do something to prove that "both sides are just as bad".

And finally I'm getting bored with Bill Maher's cutesy brand of "humor".

of the rot that is at the core of our country. Bring it. Let's get it all on the table and work for solutions.

Is it having a member of a 1% shoving a camera in people's faces at the faces of welfare recipients? Don't they suffer enough ridicule from Republicans that they don't need the daughter of a former Democratic House speaker joining in? She lives in Manhattan. Her parents have a large house of Pacific Heights, a penthouse in DC and land in Napa.

Last week when they aired her documentary from Mississippi, she took pains to note how "prevalent" the xenophobic anti-Obama sentiment was. Is she saying that most of the welfare recipients she encountered had no interest in finding jobs? She is exactly the kind of limousine liberal (if she even is one) are party does not need. I am ashamed she comes from San Francisco.

Talk about a portrait in cluelessness -- a couple of rich, privileged assholes sitting around mocking the poorest of the poor.

Pelosi, referring to looking down from the lofty perch of her NYC apartment, said "I didn't have to look very far to find the freeloading welfare queens"... good lord. And she kept talking about the "culture of entitlement" in America. Is she auditioning for FoxNews here?

These two faux "liberals" really belong together.

where Pelosi basically was saying that HBO was more reluctant to air this video of NYC welfare recipients than of the Mississippi people. His point was that HBO favored NYC more than the South. I won't link, but I will quote: “All the people I work with at HBO, all the people I grew up with, said, ‘You can’t put that on TV. Somehow (I was) allowed to do it to the toothless rednecks, but when it was our neighbors, it was wait a second, they got defensive." And with those questions: hmm. I don't exactly think she's sinking to Fox news level, as there IS a line of compassion and safety net somewhere, and we've got to prioritize THINKING instead of feeling.

Then again, there must be a reason why she did such a soft ball puff piece on the Bush 2000 campaign, "Journeys with George".

Speaking of tax dollars, when will A. Pelosi go to Koch Industries' offices and ask: "Why should my tax dollars be going to such a profitable industry?"
