as i write this, Christie is basking in the fruits of his ill gotten goods, and this story is going to be a dim memory soon enough. Kock brothers? anyone here believes the M&M gives a flying piece of bull hockey about the kOck brother connection? think again.

It's too bad his reporting is so marginalized in this country, his investigations drops like a lead balloon except in outlets like Democracy Now!, which speaks to how formidable the Ministry of Propaganda and Disinformation Department is in the United States.

But we're "just now" coming to this realization now, perhaps thanks to the internet.

A couple of years or so ago I came across a book entitled The Tiger: Rise and Fall of Tammany Hall. I've heard about Tammany Hall for a long time, and a great many references to the massive corruption it was polluted with.

But one doesn't quite get the actual breadth of the corruption which involved massive election fraud, manipulation and other electoral machinations which this book chronicles.

Right from the start, the reader is introduced to the origins which is rooted just before and during the time the Constitution was created.

What follows is an instant failure of any form of actual democracy, Republic or otherwise, It seems to me, it's what we've had from the very beginning. It makes it kind of hard to avoid becoming completely apathetic in the process of involved citizenry including the symbolic routine of casting my ballot at election time.

On the one hand it's perpetrating the myth, on the other hand that act of casting my vote suggests empowerment and at the minimum tells TPTB something they should keep in mind in terms of the will of the electorate and to NOT vote is a form of surrender.

They are currently shopping for Koch brother retreads (i.e. Scott Brown). We have reached a time where the people don't chose the politicians but rather the politicians choose the people.
