anti-intelligent design bias.

Science works as it should and moronic shit like intelligent design gets punted pretty much as soon as anyone with a functioning central nervous system figures out that the fundie assholes are pretending not to wedge themselves into our kids schools.

There's also a bias in medical school from teaching that demon possession causes psychiatric disorders.

The flat-earth theory, phlogiston theory, aether theory, Lamarckism, phrenology. Got to weed out wrong-headed thinking somehow!

on edit: too bad the list is so short, given the amount of wrong-headed thinking there is.

Fired scientist claims anti-alchemy bias.

Fired doctor claims anti-bleeding as therapy bias.

Of course, there is a difference between the three examples I just gave and ID. In my examples, people were really groping in the dark to find the right answers because the real answers had not yet been discovered.

Intelligent design is a rejection of a right answer that has already been found.

Apparently, despite being one of many laid off, Mr Coppedge, asserts it was because of his faith in ID that he was selected - despite being protected and supported in all the years previously.
