TYT: CIA to Spy on You through TV, Appliances

Via Wired: "More and more personal and household devices are connecting to the internet, from your television to your car navigation systems to your light switches. CIA Director David Petraeus cannot wait to spy on you through them. Earlier this month, Petraeus mused about the emergence of an "Internet of Things" — that is, wired devices — at a summit for In-Q-Tel, the CIA's venture capital firm...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur break it down on The Young Turks.

I knew nothing about Petraeus when he first came on the scene, except he was supposed to be a new national hero, untouchable, a demigod - I knew then he was terrible person. The propaganda was just too intense for it to mean anything else. This of course has now been borne out. He is no defender of freedom, in any sense of the word.

Should make everyone rise up and stop this march toward 1984, but like all other attacks on freedom, it will be met with boredom and stupidity.

But thanks TYT, for getting it out there. Seems you're the only ones doing that job.

I'd like the Obamatons, the ones who allow for no criticisms no matter how just and based in reality, to defend his vote on the 2008 FISA bill.

Any takers?
