Jon Stewart could not believe Thursday night that a sweet (if over-the-top “sappy”) Coca-Cola ad featuring people of different nationalities singing “America the Beautiful” would “bunch America’s undergarments” with some of the most racist, xenophobic reactions possible. Stewart asked, “Were they bothered by the dangerous levels of schmaltz?”

Stewart said “the only thing more delicious” than the actual cola itself is the fact that people were complaining about “America the Beautiful” being America’s national anthem when, in fact, it is not. ...

This is capitalism at work. Coke wants to sell products, so coke makes commercials appealing to a broad number of people.

realize they were singing in different languages....and I think it is great. Dumb people complaining about it were not even aware that it isn't the National Anthem....morans......
