Coke Embraces 'Controversy,'Will Run THIS LONGER Ad During Sochi Opening Ceremony

Rather than back away from the controversy surrounding the multilingual “America the Beautiful” ad that ran during Super Bowl XLVIII, Coca-Cola has decided to double-down on the commercial’s message of multicultural unity by running an extended, 90-second version during Friday night’s Winter Olympics opening ceremony on NBC.

they are an 800lb international gorilla in regard to the money they spend in advertising and marketing. In short, they could not care less what American right wing media says about the company's commercials.

Gotta admit I do not drink colas or sodas. But I sure do appreciate the stance Coke has taken on this issue.

to be a bigot any longer. So glad the good ones are getting coverage...like the minimum wage, coming up. It's becoming cool to pay a living wage. Thanks to PBO. Is it possible our culture is progressing? a little?

legal and illegal, make up over half the population of the U.S. For Coke, that's a smart money ad. Most Whites are cool with it, except the serious Republicans and the RW Noise Machine. They are not worried at all, they know that ultimately, this country will be more accepting of other cultures as populations change and the world grows smaller. (If you can say "grows smaller?&quot

before. A brilliant creative idea, congratulations to them.

I deeply hope that the response to this will bring them
around on the environmental and other humanitarian
issues of our time. They have so much money, and
power. Here is a hint of beauty and good. It seems
authentic and not manipulative (in an evil way, I mean).
Hope they have started a snowball rolling for the
good they can do here in America, and around the
world. Let's make it beautiful and safe again for
everyone.
