TNGA Rep. Matthew Hill: "IUD? No, what's an IUD?"

Segments from a 2010 Tennessee General Assembly video wherein Rep. Matthew Hill (R-7, Jonesborough) - a graduate of East Tennessee State University - stated during questioning on the floor about his legislation (Hill was asked by Rep. Jeanne Richardson) as to if he knew about IUD's (and he didn't).

Hill later goes on to tell other members of the Tennessee House of Representatives that his then 22 month-old son Caleb would engage his father in an abortion discussion about "saving babies"...

some Tennessee males are as dumb as any other state's males, but this takes the cake. For some legislator to actually say he doesn't know what he is talking about to go ahead and preach to the other legislators goes beyond common sense. In the case of individuals born in TN, one has to grab them out of the cabbage patch before they are completely formed in order to make them the way they are.

But, that's ok a lot of Republicans wouldn't know what an IUD is either and if they did they would be just as afraid of that as an IED.

feel they have the right to tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies? And who talks to a 22 month child about abortion? These people are twisted.

Here's an idea: I get to make decisions on Rep. Hill's health care even though I have no medical degree.
