TYT: RT Reacts After RT Host Condemns Russia Over Ukraine Actions

*An anchor for the English language network RT — a Kremlin-controlled news outlet whose coverage on the crisis in Ukraine has been, er, selective — went off-script Tuesday morning and condemned Russia's incursion into the Crimean peninsula. At the end of her show, Abby Martin, host of Breaking the Set, asserted her strong disagreement with Russia's actions...* How did RT respond? The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

#0 sez: "This gal obviously has a grain of sense- I'm sure she'd have met with an accident while she was there. Hope TYT can offer her a job when RT fires her."

She's not being fired. She's not being shipped to Ukraine. She's not being punished in any way. And she went on to say that she will continue to express her views and call 'em as she sees 'em.

highest ratings on msnbc, Donohue fired for speaking out against the Iraq invasion. There's a very long list of similar actions taken with regard to United States Journalists. television news personalities.

it's important that as we justifiably criticize Russia for their oppressive tactics and restrictive measures, whether it's journalists or the range of other human rights abuses, that we be consistent and call it out where ever it exists. Whether it's Korea, Russia, China, South America, the Continent of Africa, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Great Britain and the United States. I'm sure I've left out several other countries, but I think I make my point.
