(7,865 posts)I mean, about 2% of what he digs into has any validity, but by mixing everything into mega-conspiracies he sort of diminishes the impact of anything he mentions that might accidentally have a shred of truth to it.
Most of what he does is repeat versions of conspiracy theories that are rather close to nut job conspiracy shit from the militia 90's or from the John Birch society long ago. Total batshit stuff.

(15,238 posts)First there will be a total financial collapse then a nuclear war. I presume now with a total invasion of the Ukraine would fit well in his story. His breakfast conversation must be an unique experience. As for myself I am holding out for a herd of moose or maybe a rabid polar bear chasing Sarah Palin.

(1,288 posts)I think we'll see him as a megachurch pastor. Alex is only about making $$. Total thespian.

(2,548 posts)This rant sounds like he is describing Paul Ryan and the GOP in general. If there is one group who absolutely depends on ignorance and stupidity it is the Republican Party. I think a cogent argument could be made that the GOP is really the army of satan. No other group relies so much on deception as the GOP does. Then again he may well simply be crazy, coin flip time I guess.

(4,695 posts)as there is no east in the Universe. Earth is the only place that the Bible says that Christ will set up His kingdom and thousand year reign. It is the same old argument and belief system that religions has concluded. Jones is hysterical because how will humans receive Christ if they have left Earth?
Secondarily, for Jones, the Scientific Method is the way of Satan. In religion, one does not use reasoning, critical thinking and mathematics to answer questions or imagine the future. They listen or succumb to an Inquisition about the rights of the Supernatural. Jones is angry because he cannot deliver the ax to the scientific world and hysterical that he cannot control the image of God/abilities of Man.
