(24,303 posts)An American TV classic. I will miss him.
I will always remember his references to "the pinheads at GE" around that time, too.

(5,128 posts)I was tickled at how he kept moving despite the cold shoulder. He built a great hatred toward GE starting that day, until he defected to CBS. Then he didn't have anyone to stand up to -CBS signed him for $13 mil a year- and I lost interest in the show. Him too. He hit the jackpot and was no longer part of us.

So many good bits, like the alka-seltzer suit and the velcro board were so funny.
He'll be missed.

(10,597 posts)...surely he's dead by now. Too many left to take his place though, so we're none the better for his presumed demise.

He has always been in Obama's corner.
I always remember his take down of Bill O'Reilly, I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap. David also defended Cindy Sheehan against O'Reilly. And his brilliant and brutally funny Great Presidential moments or something like that showing Dubya screwing up yet another speech or presser.
