You don't see that in the social studies books. That's an ugly little fact that continues to haunt us to this day. Many of the biggest problems we have in teh Middle East amd Africa today can be traced back to decisions made by British lords.

The map for the Middle East was redrawn at the Treaty Of Versailles. Interestingly, Wilson was down with a case of the flu and did not make any of those meetings.

Interesting to note that combat between Turkey and Russia continued long after the war in the West was over. The last battle fought between these two belligerents was in 1924.

According to this map, there are NO McDonalds in Romania (Romania shows up in blue on the map, whereas, according to the map, the countries that have McDonalds are in red). However, I know this to be WRONG from personal experience living in the country. Unfortunately, there are many, many McDonalds in Romania, even though I wish that the map were true, and there were no McDonalds there. But then, I feel that it would be better for the health of the whole world if McDonalds didn't exist!
