(36,281 posts)I only got through the first few, all of which had their actual scientific explanations, more-or-less, described in the captions, e.g. the Antikythera mechanism, "built to calculate the movements of the planets," or the mysterious building in the Sea of Galilee, built by people and "covered by rising waters". Oh the Taos Hum that only 2% report and no one else can even detect.

(111,267 posts)There are other places where clusters of people report hearing it. It might be a new viral disease that affects hearing but not much else.
I'd love to see an explanation for the Seneca Guns. So far everything, even deep seismic activity, has come up empty.

And they pretty well have figured out the Antikythera device.

(9,494 posts)Amway sells it so right away you know it's bullshit. The guy is a medical doctor from Vanderbilt University. Now they are, apparently, off selling his latest invention...the clean coal machine. Every time someone mentions magnets it sort of freaks me out that so many people fall for this stuff. Now New Zealand is biting on a coal treatment that renders it's waste product as harmless as water. People are investing serious money.
All you need is balls and an idea and you can make a Woofortune!

(18,634 posts)The moon's attraction to the earth causes the tides. This is
a simple explanation, at least that is what I learned in a high
school science class. If I was a tea party person and believed
the earth was flat or that the sun revolved around the earth or
that the earth was only 6000 years old I probably would be
wrong.

(7,865 posts)Very poor title for this video actually. Science is a process not merely all that is currently known. To say that these items are unexplained by science is a misnomer. One could say that there isn't currently an explanation for these phenomena, but you can't simply say that it is "unexplained by science."
