I disagree with the headline.
America DOES care about The Poor.
This is the fastest growing Economic Class in America.
It is the Leadership of BOTH Political Parties sucking up to the 1% that "don't give a rat's ass about The Poor."


The Last time I can remember "The Poor" being mentioned as a Democratic party Issue
was the day John Edwards (warts and all) was forced out of Campaign 2008.

You will see many posts about Benghazi, the need to help the "middle class", even some posts defending the wealthy, but posts about the poor are very rare and tend to sink like a rock. Those that do care and post about the biggest issue in America today (exponentially growing poverty) number even less than the few loudmouth Boggers with their teen beat swoonfests and blue link denial threads.

I count about 10 such posters in this entire community, you are among them by the way.

I'm not big into posting threads but I do read the poverty / growing inequality threads and I support my local food bank......they send me pamphlets with real stories from the community and they are real eye openers

Even here in the our recently not so liberal paradise of Democratic discussion less than 10% will even acknowledge us.

We are but vermin to both parties and an unsightly mess to be avoided by the suburban multiple car owning comfortable that like politics as either hobby or sport.

He is brilliant, well versed in history, and almost always right on as opposed to that fat hypocritical windbag. He plays the most interesting audio clips of historical figures, such as Teddy Roosevelt, to help illustrate how far we've veered sharply away from a true democracy.

...but his show got picked up by RT.
