Related: About this forumThom Hartmann: Big Pharma Pfizer is Changing Nationality
America's Lawyer Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire Radio joins Thom Hartmann. American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is currently in talks to buy British drug company AstraZeneca for $106 billion. If the deal goes through - Pfizer would get to change from being an American company to a British one. Why would it want to do that? And what does that say about our loophole-infested tax code?

(4,695 posts)That $6,000.00 is going to cause the American people to vote for a candidate promising nationalized health care or Medicare for all.
Private insurance companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield might want to examine that deductible for the many many who are just above the 138% poverty line, especially if they are getting paid almost completely by the ACA government subsidy. Same for medicine.

(4,695 posts)Americans are paying a health care deductible of $6,000.00 for a low cost Plan that should be received as almost free national health care or Medicare for all. The $6,000.00 is either a subsidy/deductible or a deductible/subsidy, to the Medical Industrial Complex, how ever I look at it.

(10,495 posts)They realized that these races are relatively cheap and their money makes a huge difference. Couple that with the fact that they are the secret owner of several courthouse/Internet newspapers designed to influence jurors and create an anti plaintiff bias. They feature issues and stories that will be covered in trials where they are currently picking juries. The bored jurors waiting around can get these papers free right outside the door and read these one-sided articles and editorials. These papers all have "Record" in the name such as the one in my area, The Southeasttexasrecord.com. Initially, they did not even sell ads, but they found that people saw through their plan. Now they look like a regular paper and toned down the rhetoric except in the editorials.
Our Democracy has been destroyed by an all out assault by corporations and the 1%! We have been asleep at the wheel and it is past time to wake up and call this shit out!
