Alex Jones has a pitiful habit of calling various attacks which have occurred in the U.S. false flag operations, including the Boston Marathon bombing and the Washington Navy Yard shooting. Well, hes at it again, and he appears now to be accusing the U.S. government of staging the Las Vegas shooting as an attempt to smear conservatives before the midterm elections.
There is so much proof of this being staged yesterday, when I first read about it, and this morning, that my mind exploded with hundreds of data points, and quite frankly its conclusive, Jones said.
Would they do this to get our guns and blame the tea party thats sweeping in every runoff election and primary right now? he asked. I kept telling, theyre getting ready to false flag, and it happens right in Harry Reids district, right in his state, right in his city, with his police department.

People in need of psychological help... some of them have a big microphones which they use to encourage OTHER people in need of psychological help to do things to respond to the paranoid data that is vomited over them daily via radio, TV and the internet. If only we could start putting warning labels on these idiots' broadcasts.

(6,419 posts)no one seems to want to take the time to do anything, only complain.
Here was a recent effort to get people to write emails to get at least try to get the nutjobs off the public airwaves, but almost no one responded: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/06/02/1303899/-Sandy-Hook-Truther-arrest-This-insanity-is-encouraged-every-day-in-USA-Here-s-what-you-can-do
Alex Jones is mostly online but he is on dozens of stations, the public airwaves, around the US including in Nevada where the shooting happened. But would anyone contact the station and tell them to get Alex Jones off?

(5,997 posts)OTOH, that would conflict with his worldview and, more importantly, undermine his business model.

(4,079 posts)...require the use of multisyllabic words and an attention span longer than a good fart. I don't think Jones could handle it.

(78 posts)6:13: Guest: "Alex, this is an armed revolt against the American government. Make no mistake about it. That does not change the nature of the event and that does not change the fact that every criticism leveled against what we are planning to do would be true of any act of resistance, of any open protest of any act of rebellion"
8:02: Guest: "we are revolting with arms"
11:23: Guest: "I will not let government tell me what to do and yes, we are going with the aim of overthrowing the government. It has become obsolete, it is an anachronism in 2013 that we still believe as a human beings that we should be organizing society by coercion and violence and force of a central authority."
14:31: Guest: "We have to make it clear and put government on notice that we will use physical force when necessary and when appropriate to defend ourselves I'm very glad that we haven't come quite to that situation yet but the government's reaction to what we do on independence day may prove that to be necessary, I hope that they are not going to put us in that situation where violent resistance is appropriate"
22:02: Guest: "We are asserting the right to be armed and to apply deadly force"
23:45 Alex Jones: "Well look, this is civil rights at its core, just like black folks going in and sitting at lunch counters saying I'm not gonna you know get food out of the window anyone, I'm a human or going to the bathroom or sitting at the front of the bus back then that was in incredibly radical. Those people were demonized."
26:38: Guest: "You'll be on the wrong side of the firing line when the shooting starts"
And then there is this post from the terrorist himself on Alex Jones' Infowars Website.

(12,977 posts)I used to think Jones was just in it for the money. Now I'm starting to think he believes his own lies. Always a danger position to be in.

(16,296 posts)When he emptied out the asylums by defunding local mental health centers.
"With President Reagan and the Republicans taking over, the Mental Health Systems Act was discarded before the ink had dried and the CMHC (Community Mental Health Centers) funds were simply block granted to the states. The CMHC program had not only died but been buried as well. An autopsy could have listed the cause of death as naiveté complicated by grandiosity."

It is estimated that over 22,000 were thrown out on to the streets (a few becoming radio hosts) when mental facilities had to make difficult decisions about care.
But it's the truth even if it didn't happen.
