The flag patch on his arm in this photo should be upside down as well.

(12,864 posts)That makes it easier to identify news that is not legitimate.
So pretty much all the national corporate media can be excluded from the list of legitimate news organizations. That is one of the reasons I really don't watch them anymore. I find it disgusting that they drag all these lying corporate war mongers out for all their shows to criticize current policy and they are rarely challenged. The only one missing is Colin, but maybe he has been out on them.

(6,852 posts)I think that the proposition of going to Baghdad is also fallacious. I think if we were going to remove Saddam Hussein we would have had to go all the way to Baghdad, we would have to commit a lot of force because I do not believe he would wait in the Presidential Palace for us to arrive.... [And] then we'd have had to put another government in its place.
What kind of government? Should it be a Sunni government or Shi'i government or a Kurdish government or Ba'athist regime? Or maybe we want to bring in some of the Islamic fundamentalists? How long would we have had to stay in Baghdad to keep that government in place? What would happen to the government once U.S. forces withdrew? How many casualties should the United States accept in that effort to try to create clarity and stability in a situation that is inherently unstable?
I think it is vitally important for a President to know when to use military force. I think it is also very important for him to know when not to commit U.S. military force.... t would have been a mistake for us to get bogged down in the quagmire inside Iraq....
Saddam Hussein's offensive military capability, his capacity to threaten his neighbors, has been virtually eliminated.

(37,726 posts)I can't think of a single good thing that Bush and his neocon gangsters did for the American people, besides to get out of town, after he and the neocons/PNAC had just about destroyed our good name, our good credit and the US military capability.

(10,098 posts)It was a simply devastating assault on Cheney and his daughter. I am trying to find the transcript, it was amazing.
At the end he goes on to the idiot son and ends with "simply spends his time in Texas, trying to paint his soul clean".
A snippet from the transcript of the show
"You see the spectacle of Dick Cheney weighing in on Iraq and on one level
it feels like a just society would have done something formal to sanction
this person for what he did and place him outside the bounds of polite
society. But in the absence of that, at least we can take comfort in the
fact that this man is speaking from a lowed mountainside in a funny hat
rather than from the Oval Office at the president`s side.
This is a man whose family name has been so tarnished, so discredited, he
couldn`t get his own daughter through a primary campaign in his own party
in his own home state. He had to go back to the drawing board to find her
another job, which he`s apparently achieved by starting this new
organization.
And, of course, no accounting for this psycho drama, this spectacle of the
lead`s reckoning with the horror of what they did would be complete without
this man, who, to his credit recently, has seen fitting to offer no more
wisdom, dispense no more advice, and simply spend his days in Texas trying
to paint his soul clean."
