(89 posts)Would have been nice to have a democratic president come into a situation where the economy was not bleeding 800,000 jobs a month and two wars that were a no win situation. Of course, if things had not been so bad Obama probably would not have elected at all.

(326 posts)I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that the irresponsible media continue to give a platform to the totally discredited war criminals and their supporters to continue to tell their lies and relive their fantasies.

(37,726 posts)become mega-toxic. DC is the "2000 curse of the millennium." The millennium bug is making his way back toward the levers of power. By not making him pay for his murderous crimes, America has enabled a master criminal to strike again and again. He wasn't happy owning the POTUS, he wanted to control George W Bush, The American Dictator.(Unitary Excutive)

(2,674 posts)It was immoral to start the war and kill innocent people. I never could understand how they gave no value to lives of people who were not harming us in any way. Even the Churches supported the Iraq war! Shame on America for creating the mess that is over there right now. Don't get involved in it again!

(49,990 posts)President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing Mr. Bush's final approval rating at 22 percent.
Seventy-three percent say they disapprove of the way Mr. Bush has handled his job as president over the last eight years.
Mr. Bush's final approval rating is the lowest final rating for an outgoing president since Gallup began asking about presidential approval more than 70 years ago.

(14,573 posts)that the American people seem bound and determined to forget the complicity of these neocon war criminals in making it happen and our media seems just as determined to gloss it over so we do forget.
I wonder, do we as a people have THAT short a memory?
We DO seem to be reliving lots of past mistakes lately...

(11,833 posts)who oppose warmongering. I realize that isn't all democratic candidates. But there are some who aren't warmongers and those are deserving of support. I would like to see democratic candidates who actually campaign on the notion that we need to spend less of our tax dollars on the military-industrial complex and more on education, peace and prosperity at home.
