I am sure there are some here on DU who will claim VICE News is evil & does the bidding of some nefarious creature but there is no media, American media, that does reporting all over the world like they do. Some of their reporters have enormous BALLS to do what they do!

They were reporting on ISIS before ISIS was a SCARY!! The same goes for the Ebola crisis. Ukraine...This list goes on & on!!

We got the point...Seeing people lying in the street is enough for me. It is so sad. To be honest there really is not much that can be done for them if they get in a hospital other than IV fluids & good luck.

in an American intensive care unit - where they are constantly being monitored, hydrated, and medicated in response to their symptoms - and if they are reasonably healthy to begin with - they are more likely to survive. But that's not what is available in Liberia.

Sometimes I don't understand the population here on DU. Someone posts an outstanding, informative video explaining exactly what the Ebola situation is like on the ground in Liberia, and almost no one watches it or recommends it. Instead, we have scores of DU'ers slugging it out in alarmist Ebola threads that are generating a lot of heat and precious little illumination. ~sigh~ Get it together, guys.

I've recently returned to DU from an absence of several years, and forgive me for saying this, but it really seems like the median IQ here has dropped. I know that's a huge generalization and it may even sound a bit elitist--and I apologize for that--but it's what I'm seeing. /rant
