My thought was "Good deal. Maybe they will put on someone who is not such a nutjob".

No such luck. They put on someone who is not only more hateful, but is totally incoherent; Michael Savage.

The most distressing thing is that so many people (including people I know) take his nonsensical ravings seriously.

Hate sells.

radio is rw now. He can be heard online, FSTV (Free Speech TV Channel), and Siruis XM I think. Sam Seder is also terrific, brainy and effective, has a show online. Among the hate radio crowd Savage comes on strong, seems to have a large following from his fast talking and regular themes of fear and hate.
