McGovern warns NATO ‘subservient’ to US interests

Ray McGovern, former official at the CIA and co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, talks to Going Underground host Afshin Rattansi about NATO and Russia. He says that there is propaganda saying that Russia has invaded Ukraine and Putin is a bad person, and intelligence professionals should be warning of that. He states that NATO and the UN are subservient to American interests, but has hope given the British parliament standing against war in Syria that whilst Cameron may toe the American line, someone is willing to stand against it. And NATO broke the promise it gave to Gorbachev that it would not expand eastwards, in return for his acceptance of German reunification.
