WWYD got comeuppance last week in Maplewood, N.j. when they set up a scenario in a local restaurant. There is a community website and residents posted about the restaurant being used to play their customers.

People got pissed at the restaurant, then at the show and its shitty format.

Restaurant kicked them out, 7 hours before the shoot was scheduled to end.

People don't like to be played, whether its by A.B.C. or a couple of kids playing O'Keefe.

camera to a muslim woman and had her walk around ground zero wearing a hijab. People came up to her and said "are you okay, are people leaving you alone". I cried. This is the same thing. It teaches us who we can be at our very best. And why should we not share that with each other. Last week someone vandalised a mosque in cold lake alberta. And look what locals did:

In that case a crime had taken place and the lesson of being greatly human came later. At least with this video there wasn't actually a crime committed before we learnt the lesson or saw the best in us reflected and those were authentic responses. Okay a crime was commited with the punch in the nose at the end.

I'm not sure why this pisses you off, but your protestations are interesting to watch...

Regarding the ABC show, all of the episodes are based on politically correct scenarios. After all, who could be against gay - black - Muslim, bashing... or whatever the theme of the episode is? The premise of the show is, they are offering teaching moments.

To offer teaching moments, they are playing people and their emotions. My town, Maplewood and two neighboring towns have been the site of several episodes. This is because we are near N.Y.C. It is easy to get the equipment in and out.

Our towns are also chosen because we are extreme liberal as far as communities go. Producers know they are gonna get a good, liberal reaction to whatever they set-up. If they get a red-neck type response, so much the better for the ratings.

Well, we have gotten tired of it. Last week they went too far with an scenario of child abduction. Remember, in order to keep the ratings, they have to increase the scare.

If you want an example of how my town responded to the last visit by W.W.Y.D.?,

Google: Maplewood Online'

link to community forum. There is a search bar link on top. Enter "Roman Gourmet"

Scroll down to "ABC's missing child scam."

There are 6 pages of our town's reaction to this bullshit. I am sorry it is not easier to get to the thread, but it is a rewarding read. You might stay on the site a while and learn about our interesting community. Although the site focus is on two communities, we have people throughout the world who contribute. This was because it was featured in U.S. News and World Report about 15 years ago, as a successful community website.

As I said, last week, ABC went too far. The bloody nose shown in the opening post of this thread also shows what happens when the stuff goes too far. Bloody nose this time. What's next?

I hope this helps.
