resulting in our current dismal situation.

Thanks for the reminder, KoKo. We need it, early and often. If ONLY the Party would pay attention!

and we will likely have to wait for them to PHYSICALLY DIE in order to reverse this trend; we liberals might have to resign ourselves to smaller and more local operations than than the National Political Stage for a while...which isn't exactly a fun idea for me...

that's my takeaway from this right now
but i have been awake for a good bit, I may feel differently after I've slept.

Low I ros can learn, but they have to hear it from a fresh perspective.

Ie, when they say 'big govt.' We respond with 'helping people'. Which is why Ronnie used that famous line.

Dems should have pushed back with constantly referring to the "Affordable Health Care Act for All" at every opportunity. But, I saw posted here that Obama himself said it was "okay with him" to call it "Obama Care." So....that's what it became and the Repubs used it to their advantage and probably it was a big factor in why we lost in Mid-Terms.

The Dem Ops/Party's job is to Frame Messages. It can't be left up to a Dem President alone to be his own Media Machine.

Our Party Structure and "Center for American Progress" failed us. Obama needed help he didn't get and this was true for Clinton and Carter as I look back (even when CAP didn't exist). The messaging that Obama got was from the "Pony & Unicorn Crowd" and it was to attack Republicans at their sewer level instead of Framing Positive they attacked their own Dem voters and pushed back the Progressive Voters who were trying to warn them. They dropped the 50 State Strategy and gave little or no attention to supporting, funding and building the party in the States that they didn't consider important.

We Dems make it all about our President and Personality rather than positive messaging about what the difference is between Dems and Repubs.

Now...we see there's little difference between both parties except on Social Issues. Both are the Parties of War and Big Business/Wall Street. In the end having LBGT Rights and Immigration Reform and Legalization of Marijuana is positive but not if you've lost a Middle Class and poverty increases and peoples privacy rights are being violated by the Government and Students are influenced by Corporate Education and College is still unaffordable because of the debt interest payments, our ACA still has Insurance Companies & Big Pharma trying to "game it" and our Infrastructure declines because of the bill to pay for "Endless War."
