Thom Hartmann: A Livable Wage for Restaurant Workers?



The only national organization focused on the needs of restaurant workers held a rally here in Washington, DC - drawing attention to the struggles these workers face. Dr. Jill Stein - the Green Party candidate for President - was at the rally - and she'll join Thom to talk more about it...

That is why it is so important to always tip good. At the end of the night restaurants tally their tickets and 15% is what is turned in for taxable income and deducted from their weekly, already low wage. So, if a table does not leave a tip, it costs the server money to wait on that table.
