(17,320 posts)it was a terrible blunder for them to have attacked us at Pearl Harbor. What were the thinking? Pure arrogance I guess.
But, building all of those nuclear plants on the least stable land in the World was an even worse mistake. To make matters worse, it could well kill everyone on the Japanese mainland or at least force them to abandon it for maybe 100,000 years. Just shows that
when the greedy are in charge, making money trumps all other considerations.
The same thing is happening here in America. I can't think of anything that is going right in our Country. We are making every dumb
blunder possible by allowing the super rich to "buy" the Government and allowing the Tea Bag contingency to run the Republican Party, with the help of the religious fundamentalists.
I liked your intelligent post. You are trying to warn them. But, I doubt that anyone from Japan will ever read it.

If it wasn't for the current political climate in the Ukraine, I'd love to tour the area around Chernobyl. I'm totally fascinated by the ghost town of Pripyat, and the abandoned Duga (Russian Woodpecker) over the horizon radar site. Maybe it's because I'm a radio enthusiast and grew up in the shadow of the first commercial nuclear reactor in the US, but the extra radiation exposure wouldn't scare me.
