And before anyone starts in with "Politics makes strange bedfellows..."

Do we accept Dick Cheney as an "helper" since he's pro-some gay rights?

Alan Keyes is a total nutcase, waving around his big family Bible that he's been hit in the head with too often.

to see that even some Republicans see out of control trade agreements are bad and hear other voices besides Rush Limbaugh saying only 'lazy unions' are against free trade. Of course no one on this board wants Alan Keys as President or anything but when he's right, he's right.

Alan Keyes not only is a far-right nutcase and wannabe theocrat, he hates Obama and everything, I do mean EVERYTHING Obama advocates for.

His hatred comes from his far-right views and the fact Obama ran over Keyes in the Senate election.
Sore loser? Yup.

... I detest Keyes' politics, and he most definitely IS a Bible-thumping nutjob, but the Trans-Pacific Partnership is worse by several orders of magnitude. It is a corporate coup d'etat masquerading as a "trade deal." Corporations will be virtually immune from prosecution for any crimes, no matter how heinous. It will allow corporations to sue sovereign nations if they enact laws that MIGHT affect future profits. these suits will be tried in corporate courts by corporate lawyers. Their decisions cannot be appealed. The Trans-Pacific Partnership is treason on the grandest scale ever conceived by the minds of evil men. (See my political cartoon in "GOOD READS" entitled, "The Trans-Pacific Partnership: The biggest threat w face," for a personification of the TPP that may haunt your dreams!) And there are FAR too many supposed Democrats behind it, including Obama and Clinton. They're keeping it secret because they know that many of its provisions will bring massive protests to deny fast-track authority. Once it's enacted as law, they can unleash the most rabid factions of the militarized police to slaughter anyone with the temerity to say, "Now wait just a goddamned minute!"
