Sure, it's hard to get the best stuff, because a lot of Quebeckers don't (or won't) speak English, and the stuff you get in Montreal, where English is widely spoken, tends to be watered-down. (I suspect that they cut it with corn starch, personally.)

Luckily for me, however, my older brother's barber has a cousin who is friends with a woman who does manicures for a cook at a diner in Baie Comeau, so, once a month, my bro gets a shipment of "Golden Mud" flown in. It's the pure, unadulterated product, and he generously shares it with me and sis. God-damn that shit is good! (Warning: If it's your first time using, TAKE IT SLOW!)
