It was the Ultras (and Right Sector) that burned alive those in Odessa which was one of the catalysts that caused Crimea to declare the current government unconstitutional and start the process of breaking away.

...between the ancient Slavic and Rus' peoples have been going on for over ten centuries. I think for some, it's the only identity they have. It is likely the second-longest on-going family feud, extant.

- With the feud started by the offspring from the Abraham/Sarah/Hagar threesome being the all-time tops, of course.....

The battalion's deputy commander is the head of Kiev's police force? This is a bit worse than I thought, perhaps they have already staged a de-facto takeover? If they control the Capital's police and have access to all government buildings, who would be stupid enough to try and organize opposition to anything they want? Such opposition would be seen as tantamount to treason by these fanatical, self-assured national saviors.

If the only way Ukraine can reunite itself is through employing fascists and neo-Nazis as a part of their military, then it is a lost cause anyway. That Ukraine is allowing these people to be its armed soldiers and national leaders is a far greater threat to the rest of Europe than the Russian Army ever could be. Of that I am certain.
