(52,317 posts)spock touches a musical plant and for a moment smiles, amused.
an interesting moment as it was obviously before they had nailed down the "rules" for spock's character.

(40,416 posts)I was at Michigan State during the first season of ST. I never missed an episode. Nor hardly the next two seasons. And my favorite two characters were by far the best two actors in the series, Mr. Spock and Bones McCoy, now both sadly gone. And equally sadly, we don't have Commander Scott, Yeoman Rand, nurse Chappell, and so many others.
These clips make me want to view the whole thing over again from beginning to end, both the good and the bad.
RIP Mr. Spock, Mr. Scott, Ms. Rand, Ms. Chappell. I'll light a candle for them all.

(10,497 posts)I still wonder who the idiot was that canceled this after only 3 seasons! I don't care if it initially had poor ratings as I am sure someone will tell me was the reason, I wish there were more!
Thanks for posting!

(41,861 posts)Popular until it hit Re-Runs. Even the Animated Series died a quick death after two seasons. Fans went Nuts when Star Trek, the Motion Picture came out. But the movie didn't do well at the box office. Which is why they went full metal on The Wrath of Khan. There are some who say the best movie was The Voyage Home because everyone could relate to it, even if they were not Star Trek or Science Fiction fans.
