Iceland Does The Unimaginable To Its Criminal Bankers

"I am concerned that the size of some of these institutions becomes so large that it does become difficult for us to prosecute them when we are hit with indications that if you do prosecute, if you do bring a criminal charge, it will have a negative impact on the national economy, perhaps even the world economy. And I think that is a function of the fact that some of these institutions have become too large." Eric Holder, The Hill

Would you call it a piece of shit or say but its good that one day a year?

Even Rand Paul is right on a couple of issues. That does not give him a pass on being a complete piece of shit.

...whose acts have devastated the lives of billions of people the world over. All while arresting and harassing the owners and operators medical marijuana dispensaries, with hundreds of thousands (of mostly brown people) languishing in for-profit prisons whose executives have negotiated agreements with states that demand that the ''populations'' stay up to 90% or more. And then characterizing these bankster's acts as a ''culture.'' And you want to cut this POS Citibank lawyer some slack? No thanks, but you go right ahead.

- My conscience won't let me.

And then people have the nerve to wonder how the hell things got this bad......

Feds Push Banks to Spy On Legal Marijuana Dealers

Federal regulators ignited a firestorm of controversy recently when they ordered banks located in the North Coast area of California to spy on transactions of customers who are suspected of making money in the marijuana business. In a bid to crack down on California's marijuana industry, regulators have ordered banks to look out for suspicious activity by those running such operations, but that is leaving legal -- under state, but not federal law -- medical marijuana businesses out in the cold.

Feds raid medical marijuana operations in Missoula, statewide

Federal raids hit medical marijuana shops from Columbia Falls to Billings on Monday, spreading "a horrible mixture of fear and rage" through a community already roiled by high-profile attempts to regulate it.

...is how there are apparently some who'll defend this administration, even now. Even while many of its acts have been utterly immoral and bankrupt. The Democratic Party has lost its way and doesn't know who it is anymore.

It doesn't stand for much of any damned thing that means anything to the majority of people in this country. It doesn't have the ability to lead anyone anywhere because it has no vision beyond the next election cycle. But it is the result of our own making and only we can undo the damage it's done.

Patching it up and adding some amendments to it to fix the holes left by banksters never holds for very long. Passing more laws against things the previous laws overlooked -- until another loophole is found in these new laws? Then we pass some more, right? Right. And round and round and round she goes, and where she stops everybody knows -- but nobody wants to talk about it, think about it or even admit that it's going round and round and round.

- But it is and it's going to stop one day soon......

Don't say communism. Communism is based on the utopian idea that people aren't selfish.

And Germany's "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_market_economy is capitalism within a heavily regulated framework.

You forgot that Communism also means that you don't get to choose your rulers and that you don't have any political influence whatsoever unless you schmooze your way into the cabal.

Please tell me of a communist state (past or present) that wasn't propped up by secret police and censorship.

seems a bit funny, since I believe this is what the United States is sort of looking like.
Big money picks our rulers and the politicians are schmoozing them right now.

Since when do *I* get to choose *my* rulers?

Since when do you get to choose your rulers with the electoral college? Since when do you get to choose your rulers when your governor only runs in off year elections?

I'd rather live under a communist state. None exist in europe or north america anymore.

And no I wouldn't think of recommending another ridiculous monetary system of any kind. We need to evolve beyond petty property ownership schemes and hierarchical rich-vs-poor societies.

The first thing you must recognize is that no one owns anything on this planet. No one. No one brought anything with them and no one can hold anything for a family member for later. We are made of the exact same material found on this planet.

- We and it are ONE. Until we understand this then we must continue to prepare for more wars......
