Watch These Dolphins Take the Beach! How Did They Figure Out This Incredible Fishing Method?

http://blog.therainforestsite.com/dolphins-use-unique-fishing-method/

20 miles outside of Savannah, Georgia, a clever pod of dolphins visit a grouping of tidal marshes. When the tide gets low, the dolphins swim inland, and, working as a team, corral the fish. Then, in a coordinated movement, they lunge towards the shore, creating a wave that pushes the fish on land —where the dolphins quickly snatch them up before sliding back into the water!

Their method of “fishing” isn’t found anywhere else in the world. Take a look at the video to see the dolphins in action!

if there was a second line of dolphins behind the first three, these dolphins could catch all the fish that flew backwards. This would improve and maximize their catch.

one, like humans?

As I watched, however, and being a political junkie, could not resist feeling a bit like the fish and the other players as our two parties (what an inappropriate word for a bunch of bozos) going after voters. At least the dolphins and egret's intent was filling their bellies. Ours are filling their pockets.

Still, great video. The dolphins never cease to amaze.

12. I heard the narrator say the same thing: "working together" -- I don't see it

The egrets are just capitalists. It's the dolphins that do the work and take the risk, and the birds do nothing but skim a % off the top.

14. Well, you got a point there. Still, there are some who'd think the egrets were no-good

do nothings waiting for their federal handout of fish and the dolphins the working class.

Then you might see it as the egrets are small little Prima Donnas, not getting their pretty white suits mussed up doing the dirty work while the big old dolphins do the hard work day to day and get no appreciation...that might be the sexist take on it. It's all in the perspective.

"Two worlds working together". I just saw the birds taking advantage of the dolphins work and the dolphins get a few fish with a mouth full of mud while the birds take the fruits of their labor. Too political for me.

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all that you're dead

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

The world's about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve (around you)

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

If I had just one last wish
I would like a tasty fish
If we could just change one thing
We would all have learned to sing.

Come one and all
Man and Mammal
Side by Side in life's great gene pool

(oooohhh oooohhh oooaahhhhh- ah ahh)

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long

So long, so long and, !Thanks!
for all the fish!
