I find these horrific events emblematic of how far down the rabbit hole has gone our entire political process. In this current atmosphere of extreme fear-mongering, wherein the most fearful become the most faithful and xtian faiths become 'strategies' usurped by the Republican party to be used as bludgeons in political races, I am not surprised that these men chose to leave this planet. But, I am sad... sad for our entire species. This is bullying, taken to an extreme, and glossed over... dismissed by its promulgators, and ignored by the fearful, faithful minions.

Just another day in politics...

There is still such a thing, particularly when it comes to opposing the use of bigotry for political profit, as Danforth said at the eulogy. But they're far outnumbered and the trend is obviously not their friend.

as usual. The creator of disgusting ads does not get harmed by two suicides, he gets promoted to Ted Cruz's Clown Car campaign. Of course, it is the GodOffalParty after all.

Why didn't Rachel name the political operative responsible for the ad and now Ted Cruz's chief political adviser?

My opinion based on what little I've read so far. He is probably meaner than Karl Rove, though not as smart. He has been sharpening his claws exclusively in the political intrigues of the Missouri republican party, so I expect his manipulations to not be subtle.
Most likely selected by Cruz based on his willingness to play dirty, with an eye for a potential fall guy. By all reports Cruz is far more intelligent than Roe; hiring a political strategist who cannot give you any real useful advice just looks to me like insurance.

always have been. Pulling in the non-city Missouri areas ad getting elected. If Missouri had more large urban areas, perhaps the Dems would have a better chance.
