Papantonio: Still No Action on Police Brutality

The death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri brought police brutality to the national stage, but in the months since the shooting, there has been very little action to prevent another tragedy. In fact, we’ve only seen more deaths.

Mike Papantonio talks about the growing problem with attorney Howard Nations.

Heroes. And, when a cop shoots a naked man because he fears for his life or shoots a child in a park with a toy in less than 10 seconds of arriving or a pack of cops beats a mentally ill man to death in the street they are doing that on behalf of the public....for public safety.....and everybody should bow and scrape for these heroic individuals who are trained and armored and weponized for their protection.

These poor public servants only make $100K a year on average before generous benefits and generous pensions. And, most will will retire after 20 years so that they can begin another career....typically....another state job where they receive preferential treatment and qualify for another state pension with accelerated benefits qualification due to their age.

Seriously....after 9/11 the application of the term "Hero" has been so broadly applied that it has been rendered meaningless. The conduct of police and their unwaivering support of the worst of the worst and their patently false claim and reliance on the cliche defense that all police issues are due to a "few bad apples" is patently dis-proven because the cops never push the "bad apples" out but, rather, consistently close ranks to defend the chronic institutionalized abuse and discrimination and criminality that has forced nearly every department ever investigated by the DOJ into a consent decree to avoid prosecution.
