Happy Easter Bunny.

This is an element that has infiltrated the military, government and lives next door to us. I don't mind them living next door to me. I have problems with the other two, when their bible-thumping mentality takes over their loyalties and sense to serve "we the people".

This are some scary bastards, all of them. They don't strap bombs to their chests, but they work in devious ways to get their twisted message across.

the idea that whatever it takes to be able to go out and kill is good, especially if it is wrapped in religious dogma.

However this was inserted purposely by the Bush people who, like Ted Cruz, are part of the Dominionist 7 mountains movement. Lot's of money behind that. This isn't infiltration..it's in our face. These people will do anything to get what they want, anything at all...

I know I sound cynical, but humans have made excuses to kill each other since before religion existed, and will do so even if religion completely died out.

Just wondered, because I thought the military had put an end to this nonsense. Remember a few years ago when all the bibles brought for distribution were burned.

If this is still going on, it's very disturbing.

Ok, so I watched the beginning again and it's from 2009. Not that long ago.

- That's partly why they call them fundies.

In 2004 a team of Yale Divinity School students and professors found "challenges to pluralism" at the academy. A memo expressed "concern that the overwhelmingly evangelical tone of general Protestant worship encouraged religious divisions rather than fostering understanding among basic cadets."

An internal AFA investigative panel in 2005 found religious "insensitivity," but not "overt religious discrimination."

Still, the Air Force that year issued guidelines that banned some public prayers and discouraged public discussion of religious belief by commanders and enlisted personnel. A 2006 revision relaxed the guidelines somewhat by allowing personal religious discussions that are not coercive.

A 2010 survey found 41 percent of non-Christian cadets faced unwanted proselytizing, even as the religious majority felt that their freedom of speech was being infringed upon.

and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. The MRFF has taken on these issues with the fundies in the military, especially the Air Force and the Academy in our own Christian Mecca of Colorado Springs.

In the early days of the Iraq war before Halliburton was able to start building miswired barracks, the Army shipped some eight-foot wading pools to Iraq for the troops to cool off in between patrols...and sure as shit, the fundamentalist chaplains scarfed them up and turned them into baptismal fonts.

(no, its not "Onward Pashtun soldiers, marching as to war; with the cross of Jesus going on before ... Christ, the Royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle, see His banners go, oh",

but good stuff nevertheless) {sarcasm thingy}

A video of U.S. Marines singing, dancing and worshiping God at Camp Pendleton in California

(They don't all look like they are there voluntarily)

"There's no God like Jehovah! ... Hooah"

Some of the lyrics include:

"These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the word of the Lord, yeah
And these are the days of Your servant, Moses
Righteousness being restored

"These are the days of great trials
Of famine and darkness and sword
Still we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord!"
