They have very progressive views on infrastructure, maybe the best on the planet. Plus, it helps that Japan values STEM education so highly.

This is an awesome advance. No doubt it will see the light of day beyond this test.

Re: infrastructure. It also helps that Japan is an island nation and not a rather large subcontinent. But I would rather not the GOP hear that excuse for the USA not doing things like this. After all Eisenhower did the Interstate highway system in the 1950's, certainty the measure of a large, broad scope national infrastructure project.
