His message is so compelling.
I don't think that the powers that be, the people who work for the oligarchs, who lunch with the oligarchs, who party with the oligarchs and who get their information from the oligarchs have any idea as to just how disgusted ordinary Americans are with our current economic situation, with the outsourcing and the export of our jobs and industry, our cost of education, etc. They are going to be very surprised.
Bernie speaks for the real America.
And, just for the record, democratic socialism is not communism. A DUer asked me about that today. Democratic socialists used to believe in violent revolution, etc. but today they believe in social programs sponsored by the government, funded by the government, lots of freedom and democracy along with the capitalist organization of businesses.
When corporations and business treat a people so badly, as badly as we have been treated by our investor class, they have no one to blame but themselves when Bernie organizes the movement he is organizing. That movement is going to be the conscience of the big Wall Street whales or whatever they call themselves. They have been cheating the American people for too long. They have no one to blame but themselves.

(12,471 posts)One correction.
Many of us democratic socialists ONLY believe in violent revolution, when all else fails.
I for one am not an advocate of violence, so when things become so bad that I cannot take it any more, I shall leave the country, exiling myself to some place that has more respect for the people.
