Republicans and their media propaganda arm make up a whole conspiracy against themselves to convince their voters that they are under attack like they're Pearl Harbor and we're the Emperor's Imperial Navy.

Sure, we laugh at them enough, but what do they expect when they say laughable things all the time?

I spend considerable amounts of time attacking religious dominion - in my academic and personal/public life. I'm not the only American doing this.

At 30, I will lead the most secular generation in the history of the United States. We are a numerically large portion of the population going forward. I will ridicule fearlessly, any madman or madwoman who places apocalyptic certainty in that which has no evidence, especially if they plan on altering our fantastic secular constitution.

We now know a majority of Republicans want to redraft the U.S. constitution and implement Christian theocracy. Per PPP data...

If the rightwing feels like they can't speak about their religion in public...you're welcome. Something is going right.

I have to say that I am in complete agreement with him. And speaking as one whose Jewish grandparents were killed at Auschwitz, I am highly offended by the comparison of the US with Nazi Germany. ISIS beheading Christians for refusing to convert to fundamentalist Islam is persecution, having to recognize the existence of gay civil marriage is not.

This reminds me of how the nuns and the priest drilled 'dying for your faith' into us. Stories of the martyrs abounded. Seems like the boys in particular were ready willing and able to go down fighting for gawd and faith.

So we saw a persecutor around every corner and behind every tree.

Jesus were we ever brainwashed.

I won't say you do all the lifting Bill, but i do agree you sure take on the heaviest issues and lift them up so we can see them for exactly what they are. Regardless of which things i may have disagreements with you on I'd let you be the pinch hitter for our team any time because you can knock-em out of the yard like nobody else ... .... .... no offense to Lewis Black.

How about New Testament Christians by the millions voting for the guy whose Holy Book says that the New Testament is flawed?
