The driver claimed she was rear-ended -- since this happened near an airport, it must have been a runaway jet...

Adding 1000-fold to the decisions drivers have to make by adding a third dimension of navigable space (not just left or right/backward or forward but up and down and all diagonal angles , not to mention the possibility of plummeting to the ground at a loss of power or a collision — we should hope it never happens.

Nice in theory but there are too many drunks, roid-ragers, reckless idiots, non-attentive/take driving for granted operators, texters/cell phone users, etc. out there for flying car dreams to be nothing more than experimental exercises.

Actual pilots, and that's what we'd all have to become to use on of these, have to go through hours and hours of training with an instructor before they qualify to solo.

I may be entering "get off my lawn" territory but I don't particularly want to be up in the air with the possibility of one of the aforementioned offenders coming at me from any of 360 degrees.
