Many of us can only attempt to change hearts and minds one at a time. Not that it gets anywhere with the entrenched, but children are listening.
And beware of complacency that gives up the fight from the start or stays within our comfort zones such as limiting our words to DU, thereby only confirming and echoing our own bias.
Our youth is our best hope in a society mesmerized to think "everything is okay, I just buy this product and buy into that rhetoric". I could see right through my parent's rhetoric about the same time I reached puberty.
It is not futile. I'm worn out for now but will resume arguing with troglodytes on their home turf soon.
