… while in the kitchen, taking mental notes. I have little time these days as I approach the golden years and anticipate seeing my grandchild, three generations to reflect in what has been labeled as Hillary's economic plan.

I can understand the problems she points out. What I can't understand is her solution. The most of what was nailed down is a dependence on the employer's tax responsibility and commitment to employee training by tax break. The Wall Street reform was given a benign slap in the lapel by somehow making it possible to have long term investment to get us out of the mess made. Does she wish not to reform what Bill Clintons gutting of the 1933 Glass Steagall a la the Financial Modernization Act?

The funny thing about financial long term investment is what affects the bond market itself. She mentions the public sector, which are our schools and local infrastructure. How does that happen when money and lack of financial commitment are leaving school districts that lose budgets due to Arne Duncan's love of privatization of education? I can tell you from a local government point of view that it takes a decent tax base to support those bond markets. This guarantees schools can be re-built, and fosters that education she talks about. It could be cradle to grave and not cost us a thing, but she wishes to make loans payable. How many can be reached by that when they have unlivable wages? I agree that roads and bridges can be fixed and maintained. Frankly, unless you have a BOLD commitment to re-building the infrastructure, I've just heard a lot of nice words and a slightly uncomfortable audience response.

I feel no plan was in hand here. I kept hearing the same 30 or so voices "woot" at intervals. This speech was not bold, and I do not even hear a plan.

Not repealing the Glass Steagall Act, makes no meaningful reform of Wall Street.
