'Moral Mondays' movement there and maybe elsewhere for several years. The group's aim is to educate, bring change for workers and people and to combat RW forces that have taken over much in NC's govt. on every level. He and others have been waging a powerful fight against big money forces and people like Art Pope which I've seen him speak of on programs like 'Democracy Now! and Thom Hartmann a couple years ago.

I sadly recall reading that Rev. Barber was on the Netroots Nations conference program a couple summers ago, and that people who didn't recognize his name or like his religious title didn't attend the session.

And this divisive tactic is being tried here on a "liberal" message board.

Divided we fall, united we stand. Thanks for this posting from Dr. William Barber

I will still strive for the premise and dream. It will take all of us who care. It's why I have attended Moral Monday and other assorted protests over social, environmental, and economic injustices and realize separation politics clouds a larger picture.
