because I hadn't read a single thing about the new end of the world happening on Sep. 24.

Oh, this one is a little more creative than the usual because it describes the pseudo scientific means instead of relying on Revelations, some nutjob's fantasy of the destruction of Rome.

People who hate their lives and other people around them always want the end of the world.

I'm sure you've all noticed this.
