Freddie Mercury: Late Queen Singer Remembered on What Would Have Been Birthday on Sept. 5
Mercury was born on Sept. 5, 1946, in Stone Town, Sultanate of Zanzibar. The singer recorded many albums by himself and as part of Queen before his death on Nov. 24, 1991, in London.

However, I hold him as one of the greatest performers in Rock and Roll. And I respect that you may find him the greatest, it's that kind of thing.

Still remember first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody. On radio at work. More and more people were pulled to the radio, everyone in the orbit transfixed. After it ended there was a pause and then, "What the hell was that???!!!"

I'm not sure why...he just was. I loved him so much, and I still miss him so much.

My sister shares his birthday.
