Former US Vice President and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore declares himself "puzzled" over UK government's green policy u-turns - watch the full speech here
By Madeleine Cuff | 23 Sep 2015
Speaking at an event hosted by think tank Green Alliance yesterday, former US Vice President Al Gore delivered an unusually strongly worded attack on the UK government's decision to roll back renewable energy policies, declaring himself "puzzled" at the government's motives.
Gore said he had "great respect" for Prime Minister David Cameron but feared he risked compromising the UK's position as a leader on global climate action.
Gore was followed by a speech from CBI director general John Cridland, who warned the government's surprise decision to impose deep cuts on a host of renewable energy and energy efficiency schemes sent a "worrying signal" to investors and businesses.

were elites who saw the freedom to do anything they wanted:
the slave trade, natural resources, coal, iron, minerals, oil ....
money is behind it all, or should I say greed, the unfettered pursuit
of money
