92-year-old war vet sings to dying wife

A video of a 92-year-old World War II veteran serenading his dying wife has gone viral.

According to the couple's granddaughter, Howard and Laura have been married for 73 years. Laura was in hospice care at the time the video was recorded and had been told she only had about a week to live.

Howard sang "You'll Never Know" by Rosemary Clooney with Harry James. Erin says that the couple often referred to the song as their "love song." They even sang it together during a reception after they renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary.

I hate that I feel oddly voyeuristic in such a precious moment between two lifelong soulmates. I wish we could just leave those two in peace together. Is that odd? I don't know. Either way, it brings many tears and a lump in my throat. They seem lucky to have had each other.

This was a very intimate moment. I found it extraordinarily touching, but I do think husband and wife deserved some privacy.

73 years together and still so much love. Most humans will never know what this feels like.
