Don't know how I missed it. I think maybe TV ads vs. being in the general news buzz like the Colbert Late Show was? I don't watch much TV anymore...

I wasn't a fan of the hire ... I really didn't like his stand up, it was pretty raw and low brow.

But, this bit at least was pretty strong, very JS like.

I'll watch based on first show.

Following up on the LW show... Larry shot Jeb! the bird, after JB made the comment about blacks and free stuff. Larry said, "I got something free for you." 😄

A little rough, but I think if the spirit is there, they will do well. You can't really replace John, he was unique.

16. He did better than I expected. I was actually nervous for him (which is weird for me)

I've heard him on radio shows a few times before it was announced he would host The Daily Show, and I thought it was a cool and interesting guy. His comedy routines were all hit or miss though. After seeing last night's show, I think he's gonna do fine. I am certain the rough spots will get ironed out as he gets used to it and the writers adapt to fit him better.

But he can't hold a candle to Jon. I really miss Jon's New Jersey attitude.

12. Yep. A classic, like the I Love Lucy conveyor belt bonbon eating scene.

We'll see how Trevor uses his background, but right now I just don't see it having the same resonance.

He's retained Jon's format, tweaking the set and graphics. Plus he is astonishingly cute, so there's that. I think he will ease into and pitch a tent in Jon's spot, and will make it his own.

17. The show was pretty good. He didn't veer from the format. He stepped into a couple "oh, no, did

he really say that?" jokes, but I liked that he did.
