he scared me a little.

The rest did fine - and I even liked Chafee although he seems like the type who would be best as mayor. O'Malley could be a good VEEP - maybe for Julian Castro in the next cycle

the contrast between the Dem and Rep. debates What a huge difference. The Re. was like a playground
between spoiled self entitled brats and Dem debate was like an adult discussion.

I missed the debate last night for two reasons:
1. I cut the cable last month so watching CNN on TV is no longer an option. (I don't miss it one bit!) and
2. Some friends and I were at a dinner benefitting a local non-profit's refugee program; time very well spent. The debate was over by the time I got home, and I chose not to listen to the media's instant anal-ysis.

What I've read here and elsewhere -- especially one candidate's* desperate and unabashedly racist tweet -- convinced me that the Democratic Party's candidates are far superior to the opposition. Convincing the rest of the country of that point is our challenge now.

debating, but they certainly know how to attack each other. Run each other down. I wonder if the viewers and voters get what the gOP is doing. NOTHING> They think they can win on numbers and suppression at the voting booths.

should've thoroughly shot holes in the theory that both parties are alike. The contrast couldn't be more stark. Even Webb looked reasonable compared to the GOP.

It started at 2:30 AM my time, and I had to get up at 6:30 to get to work on time.

But finally a thread that does NOT start out with "MY candidate trashed YOUR candidate so nyahh nyahh!"

But I will try to watch it. And don't give me too much credit--just because I get some proximity to these people, the political astuteness doesn't rub off. The upside is that when I have to hang with complete idiots (e.g. Gov. LePage of Maine) THAT doesn't rub off, either!

Take our five candidates and their top 5 candidates and put them on a stage together. If that is too many then our top three and their top three. Especially if Joe Biden entered the race and it was Biden, Clinton and Sanders vs Trump, Carson and Fiorina. I'm looking forward to seeing who drops out after the next Republican debate.

I find it amusing that the GOP required 13 candidates for its debate while the Democrats only needed five.

I don't know, it just strikes me as funny...
